Since the beginnings of life on Earth, microorganisms invisible to the human eye have been performing collaborative dances. The activity of bacteria, yeasts and moulds can teach us the importance of community, cooperation and the interconnectedness of all things. The Sustainability micro-residency, led by artist Inês Neto dos Santos, sought to make these connections visible.

Through walks, fermentation, writing and alternative mapping exercises, we explored and expanded on the theme of sustainability over two days. As a collective of artists, we created and presented a short film entitled 2% Salt.
